Fire-fighting water storage tanks

A fire-fighting tank serves as a source of external fire-fighting water supply. According to the requirements of the Russian Code of Practice 8.13130.2020 (Fire Protection Systems – EXTERNAL FIRE-FIGHTING WATER SUPPLY), such tanks are classified as capacity-type engineering structures with the necessary water reserve for fire extinguishing and equipped for water intake by fire trucks (or motor pumps). In cases where it is technically impossible or economically impractical to obtain the required water volume for fire extinguishing directly from the water supply source, a fire water volume must be provided in the storage tanks of water supply systems.
